Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu will leave Dhaka for Colombo today to attend the 42nd annual conference of Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) to be inaugurated on Monday.
The information minister, deputy minister of State Enterprises and Entrepreneurship of Sri Lanka Eran Wickramaratne, chair of APNIC Executive Council Gaurab Raj Upadhaya and president of Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh M A Hakim will address the inaugural conference. BSS
Professor Rohan Samarajiva, chair of LIRNEasia and Zaid Ali Khan, senior director of LinkedIn will present two keynote papers titled “Connectivity in the Bay of Bengal” and “IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) at LinkedIn” respectively at the inaugural, said a press release.
Inu during his interventions will shed light on Bangladesh’s initiatives for safe cyberspace required to ensure free flow of information with the help of information communication technology.
The information minister will return home on October 5.
